1. Our Commitment to Inclusion
As a European student association founded on equality, openness, and civic participation, we believe the web must be accessible to everyone. We continually work to align our portal with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
2. Technical Measures Taken
To guarantee smooth and accessible navigation, we have implemented the following design practices:
- Keyboard Navigation: All interactive controls (links, buttons, forms, modals) are fully navigable and operable via keyboard with prominent focus indicators.
- Semantic HTML5 & ARIA: Strict hierarchical page structuring (<main>, <nav>, <header>, <footer>) with ARIA attributes for screen reader compatibility.
- Color Contrast & Typography: Calibrated color palette meeting minimum contrast ratios (at least 4.5:1 for standard text), readable typography, and text zoom support up to 200%.
- Alternative Text (Alt Text): Visual assets and banners provided with alternative text descriptions for visually impaired visitors.
